Job Description

The CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program (Batch-III, Phase-II) invites young graduates to become "Climate Warriors" and contribute to a greener, more resilient Punjab. Launched under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, this highly competitive, merit-based paid internship is offered by the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EPCCD), Government of the Punjab. Interns will gain invaluable hands-on experience in climate action, environmental governance, and sustainable development. The program emphasizes turning policy into practical action, with interns working at the district level to support EPA field offices, policy units, community awareness campaigns, and initiatives like the Punjab Green School Certification Program. Successful candidates will receive a generous monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 for three months. The program includes comprehensive benefits such as access to a state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS), district-wise learning opportunities, UNFCCC-aligned certification, expert mentorship, and an official Government of Punjab internship certificate.   • Domicile: Valid Punjab domicile (permanent resident of Punjab)
  • Availability: Must not be employed (full-time or part-time) or enrolled in any study program during the internship period (affidavit required)
  • Interest: Genuine commitment to environmental protection, climate action, or sustainability
  • Fields of Study: Graduates from diverse fields welcomed, including Environmental Sciences & Engineering (majority of seats), Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, GIS & related fields, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Media Studies, Journalism, Law, and Humanities
