The Lahore Garment City Company, operating under the Ministry of Commerce (Textile Wing), Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications for the position of Company Secretary. This is a government career opportunity offered on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The company is seeking experienced and highly qualified professionals who possess extensive experience in corporate governance, SECP regulations, public sector company management, legal drafting, and board affairs. Ideal candidates will have qualifications such as ICSP, ICAP, ICMAP, MBA, Commerce, or Law, coupled with strong expertise in the Companies Act 2017 and Public Sector Companies Rules. This role is based in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and offers a market-based salary with benefits. Pakistani nationals up to 55 years of age are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have strong expertise in

• Companies Act, 2017
• Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013
• SOEs Ownership and Management Policy 2023
• Corporate governance frameworks
• Preparation of AGM agendas, Board of Directors meeting working papers, Committee meeting documents, Minutes and resolutions
• Legal drafting and corporate documentation
• Liaison with regulatory authorities
• Ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and company policies
• Advising the Board on corporate governance, legal matters, regulatory compliance
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Education Required: ICSP / ICAP / ICMAP / MBA / M.Com / Law Graduate or Equivalent from an HEC-recognized university.
• Candidates must fulfill the Fit & Proper Criteria specified by the SECP for appointment in Public Sector Companies.
• Experience Required: Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates having at least 10 years of experience as Company Secretary in Public Sector Companies, Public Limited Companies incorporated with SECP, Section 42 Companies, Autonomous Bodies, or similar organizations.
• Age Limit: Maximum 55 years at the time of appointment.
