National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), “The Nation’s Bank,” is hiring highly motivated professionals for the role of Relationship Manager – SME (OG-III). NBP is actively expanding its SME lending portfolio and seeks energetic individuals who can identify new clients, manage relationships, structure financing solutions, and drive portfolio growth. The bank offers a contractual position for 3 years (renewable) with the chance to work in a future-fit, agile, and sustainable banking environment.

• Identify and acquire new SME clients to grow the Bank’s SME lending portfolio
• Develop and execute client acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Promote the Bank’s financing products (working capital, trade finance, term loans)
• Manage and enhance existing client relationships for portfolio retention and growth
• Review financial health and performance of clients to identify risks and opportunities
• Conduct periodic client visits and provide portfolio performance updates
• Analyze financial statements and business models to assess creditworthiness
• Structure and recommend appropriate financing solutions tailored to client needs
• Prepare comprehensive credit proposals in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
• Ensure credit facilities are approved within the Bank’s risk appetite
• Monitor accounts for early warning signals and take proactive risk-mitigation measures
• Maintain compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless client service
• Achieve financial and non-financial targets (revenue, portfolio growth, client satisfaction)
• Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to the Bank’s overall strategy
• Perform any other assignment as directed by supervisor(s)

Eligibility Criteria Education / Qualification

• Minimum Bachelor’s or equivalent in Business and/or Commerce from a local or international University/College/Institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Master’s degree in Business and/or professional certifications (Economics, Accounts, AIBP, JAIBP, or related) preferred

Age Limit

• Maximum 26 years (as on the last date of application submission)

Experience

• Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant banking experience are encouraged to apply

Required Knowledge & Competencies

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet targets
• Basic understanding of banking products/services and exposure to SME Banking
• Good geographical knowledge of the assigned area and surrounding business regions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Sales orientation with ability to identify business opportunities
• Sound knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations related to SME Lending
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer relationship management skills
• Strong understanding of Credit Lending, SME Financing, and Trade Finance
